Car accident at South Wentworthville

Wentworthville's fire engine and rescue fire engine responded to a serious car accident on the Cumberland Highway, South Wentworthville this evening. Fire crews were on scene in six minutes to be confronted with a two vehicle accident with one vehicle colliding with a power pole trapping a person inside. Rescue firefighters extricated the person from the vehicle and a helicopter was used to take an injured person to hospital. Firefighters cleaned up the oil spill ensuring the area was safe.
