Serious car accident in Pymble

Rescue firefighters from Gordon, Eastwood, Crows Nest, firefighters from Willoughby and the Duty Commander responded to a serious car accident on West Street, Pymble this afternoon. Rescue firefighters were on scene in four minutes and reported a four vehicle accident with four people severely trapped. In consultation with Ambulance Paramedics the trapped people were prioritised and rescue firefighters began extrication. Two people were released in half an hour with the remaining two released a further 15 minutes later. All of the trapped occupants were taken to hospital, one person by helicopter. Firefighters cleaned up the spilt oil from the accident scene.
