School fire in Bonnyrigg Heights

Firefighters from Bonnyrigg Heights, Busby, Cabramatta, Horningsea Park, Liverpool and the Duty Commander were called to a fire in a school in Mount Street, Bonnyrigg Heights this evening. Fire crews were on scene in six minutes to discover one classroom on fire on the second level of a two level building. Quick actions by fire crews contained the blaze to the one room and in just over half an hour the fire was extinguished. The classroom suffered severe damage with two other rooms suffering smoke damage and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
