Woollahra unit fire

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this morning to a residential unit on fire on Edgecliff Road, Woollahra. Firefighters from Woollahra, Darlinghurst, Randwick, City of Sydney and Hazmat specialists from Alexandria responded to the fire with the first fire crews on scene in four minutes. The fire was in a residential unit on the top floor of the apartment building and was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The unit suffered severe damage and an occupant was taken to hospital by ambulance officers. Hazmat specialists remained at the scene to assist Police with further investigations.
