This morning firefighters from Kellyville, Northmead and Hazmat specialists from St Marys responded to a crane that had collapsed in Gladstone Road, Castle Hill. On arrival fire crews discovered a collapsed 250 tonne crane which was on the top floor of a three level building under construction. Adjacent premises were evacuated as a safety precaution and an exclusion zone established. Firefighters dealt with a fuel spill from the crane and when the area was safe left the incident in the hands of engineers.
