Published: 1st September 2008
This morning, firefighters were called to a two-car motor vehicle accident on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. When firefighters arrived, they found that a garbage truck was also involved in the accident. One man was trapped - firefighters assisted Police Rescue to extricate the man, who was then treated by Ambulance officers. Five southbound lanes were blocked during the incident, which caused considerable delays for peak hour motorists. The man was later transported to hospital by helicopter.
