Fatal fire in Narrabeen

This evening, firefighters from Narrabeen and Dee Why responded to a fire in a retirement village in Endeavour Dr, Narrabeen. First crews arrived within seven minutes to find a fire in a ground floor unit. Within two minutes, firefighters conducting search and rescue located an elderly man and carried him outside. The man had suffered serious burns and firefighters administered first aid until Ambulance officers arrived. He was transported to Royal North Shore hospital where he later died from his injuries. Fire investigators and Police are conducting investigations to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
