Rescue from House Collapse at Bundeena
Published: 12th August 2008
In the afternoon, NSWFB crews and other emergency services were called to Bournemouth St, Bundeena, where a house had partly collapsed due to a cement pour. On arrival, crews found that one side of the house which was under construction had collapsed, injuring two workers and pinning the home owner under the house. Crews worked together to retrieve the male victim from the collapse but tragically he was pronounced dead by Ambulance personnel. The second man was evacuated by air to hospital and the third was treated on scene. NSWFB Commanders commented on how well all emergency services worked well together under such arduous conditions.
