Factory fire at Moorebank

Published: 3rd June 2008

Early this morning fire crews from Liverpool, Cabramatta, Busby, Fairfield, Revesby, St Andrews and Hazmat specialists from Greenacre battled a blaze that had engulfed a jet ski manufacturers on Heathcote Road at Moorebank. The fire was in an industrial unit which was part of a larger complex and firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one unit and protect nearby industrial units. The contents of the unit were destroyed but quick actions by crews prevented further damage to adjoining units. Fire investigators carried out investigations the following day using the NSW Fire Brigades K9 detection dogs which are trained to identify accelerants.
