Car crashes into a house in West Ryde

Firefighters from Ryde and the rescue fire crew from Burwood were called to Anzac Avenue in West Ryde this morning where a car had crashed into a house. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and the crash had affected the structural stability of the front of the house. Specialist equipment to stabilise the house was brought to the scene by Urban Search and Rescue firefighters. The driver was extricated by firefighters and taken to hospital by ambulance officers. Once the house was stable the car was removed from the front of the house.
