SES building fire at Enfield

Published: 14th May 2008

Early this morning firefighters from Burwood, Concord, Campsie, Ashfield and Glebe were called to a building on fire in Coronation Parade at Enfield. The first fire crews arrived within six minutes to find an SES building engulfed in flames. Firefighters protected an adjoining property and were initially unable to enter the SES building as the intensity of the blaze had affected the structural integrity of the roof. The fire was extinguished in two hours with both the building and contents severely damaged. Fire investigators found nothing suspicious; the cause is believed to have been an electrical fault.
