Published: 27th April 2008

This afternoon in response to Triple Zero (000) calls firefighters from West Tamworth and Tamworth were called to a building fire in Macintosh Street in Taminda. On arrival, firefighters found smoke pouring from the rear of an industrial unit. Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus forced entry and extinguished a fire in the building. The fire caused extensive damage and firefighters assisted with the clean up work to minimise further damage. The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
