Car accident near Yass

In the early hours of this morning firefighters from Yass attended a serious car accident on the Hume Highway at Bookham, approximately 30km from Yass. Firefighters and other emergency services worked together to extricate two seriously injured people. This was a particularly difficult extrication due to the serious head and suspected spinal injuries sustained by the trapped occupants. Both casualties were taken by helicopter to hospital.
