A house fire in New South Head Road at Vaucluse was attended by firefighters from Bondi, Woollahra, Darlinghurst, Randwick and City of Sydney in the early hours of this morning. Fire crews were on scene within seven minutes to find the house full of smoke and the fire spreading into the roof of the building. A hydraulic ladder fire engine was used to access the roof while firefighters accounted for all the occupants and contained the fire to one room. The room that was on fire suffered severe damage, the roof minor damage with the remainder of the house saved from fire damage.
