Townhouse fire in Port Macquarie

This evening firefighters from Port Macquarie responded to a fire in a townhouse in Hill Street at Port Macquarie. Fire crews were on scene within four minutes to find the fire involved both levels of the two storey townhouse. Using two fire hoses and wearing breathing apparatus fire crews brought the fire under control while carrying out a thorough search of the townhouse. There were no occupants inside and the blaze was quickly extinguished. The townhouse suffered extensive damage and investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire.
