Greenacre shop fire
Published: 2nd April 2008
Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received by the NSWFB to a shop fire in Waterloo Road at Greenacre late this evening. The first firefighters were on scene in seven minutes to find fire roaring through the roof of the single storey shop. Fire crews battled the blaze from two sides and protected two adjoining premises from fire spread. Two hydraulic fire engines were used to contain the fire and check for damage to the neighbouring properties. The fire was extinguished by fire crews from Bankstown, Lakemba, Campsie, Burwood, Revesby and Parramatta. There were no reports of any injuries but the shop suffered extensive damage.
