Building fire in Newcastle

Newcastle and Hamilton firefighters responded to calls of a fire in a building in Hunter Street, Newcastle this evening. Fire crews arrived within four minutes to find a fire on the second level of the building. A hydraulic ladder fire engine was used to contain the fire in two rooms and was extinguished in less than 30 minutes. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check if fire had spread into the roof area.
