NSW Fire Brigades North Regional Firefighters Championships

On Sunday 2 March, the first round of the 2008 NSW Fire Brigades (NSWFB) Firefighter Championships, being held in Uralla, concluded with the team from Glen Innes Fire Station declared the North Regional Champion.


The team from Port Macquarie Fire Station took out second place with firefighters from Dorrigo Fire Station in third place, after two days of competition.

For the first time a rescue event was included in the competition, which tested a range of firefighter skills including rope skills and steel cutting. The team from Glen Innes Fire Station was the inaugural winner of the event.
