North Nowra house fire

Late tonight firefighters from Nowra, Berry and Hazmat specialists from Shellharbour responded to a house on fire in Peak Avenue at North Nowra. Fire crews arrived to find smoke pouring from the single level property and quickly fought to bring the fire under control. Initial reports suggested that people may have been inside the premises so firefighters conducted a thorough search of the house as soon as it was possible. Luckily no one was home at the time of the incident and firefighters contained the fire to the kitchen and roof space.
