Paddington house fire

Published: 10th February 2008

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this evening to a house on fire in Gipps Street, Paddington. Fire crews from Darlinghurst, Woollahra and City of Sydney were quickly at the scene to find the top floor of a two level terrace on fire with the fire spreading into the roof area. A search of the terrace confirmed that no one was home and fire crews extinguished the fire. The top storey and roof suffered severe damage. The next door neighbours informed firefighters that they had rescued the family dog.
