Hazmat spill at Ingleburn

Published: 21st September 2007

Firefighters from St Andrews and Macquarie Fields were called to a spill of hydrochloric acid in a factory in Williamson Road in Ingleburn this morning. The acid was contained and neutralised by fire crews but four people were treated by ambulance officers at the scene as they had inhaled some vapours from the acid spill. Firefighters used a gas detector to ensure that there was no build up of vapours in the factory and declared the area safe.
