Carramar unit fire
Published: 3rd September 2007
Fire crews from Fairfield, Chester Hill, Cabramatta, Guildford, Liverpool, and Horningsea Park were called to a residential unit that was on fire in the early hours of this morning. Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received and the first firefighters on scene found a ground floor unit ablaze. Fire crews immediately began to extinguish the fire while carrying out a search of the unit on fire and commencing evacuation of residents from 24 units. Firefighters entered the blazing unit and rescued one person who was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. The fire was contained to the one unit and after extinguishing the fire, crews assisted with the clean up to prevent further damage.
