Fire in a garage at Caringbah

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this evening to a fire in a townhouse garage in Taren Road at Caringbah. Firefighters from Miranda, Cronulla and Sutherland arrived to find the fire involved a townhouse at the rear of the property which contained four townhouses. The fire had spread through the roof of the garage into the living area. Fire crews quickly began to extinguish the blaze, protect nearby townhouses and carry out a search of the garage and the house. After the fire was extinguished fire crews carried out clean up work to limit further damage.
