Factory fire at Guildford

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received to a factory on fire in Cann Street at Guildford this afternoon. Fire crews from Guildford, Fairfield, Merrylands and Chester Hill responded to the fire in the single level factory. The blaze was extinguished quickly by firefighters in breathing apparatus using fire hoses. Crews checked several storage tanks in the factory for damage and after taking atmospheric readings declared the scene safe.
