Accident involving two trucks at St Clair

An early morning accident involving two trucks on the Western Motorway at St Clair left one person trapped inside one of the trucks. Firefighters from St Marys and Dunheved where on scene to set up lighting, stabilise the truck and then extricate the injured person. A helicopter was used to transport the injured driver to hospital. Fire crews dealt with the resulting oil spill so that the road could be reopened to ease traffic congestion.
