Shop fire at Kensington

Published: 16th July 2007

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received by the NSWFB this afternoon to a fire in a shop on Anzac Parade at Kensington. Firefighters from Randwick, Alexandria, Mascot, Woollahra and City of Sydney responded to the fire. The first crews were on scene within five minutes to find a fire in the vent system of the ground floor shop in the two storey building. Firefighters evacuated the occupants from the upper level residence while crews quickly contained and extinguished the blaze. Fire crews assisted with the clean up work to minimise further damage.
