Campsie house fire
Published: 12th July 2007
Campsie, Lakemba and Ashfield fire crews responded to numerous Triple Zero (000) calls this evening to a house on fire in Canterbury Road at Campsie. Firefighters arrived within five minutes to find the rear section of the house engulfed in flames. While all the occupants were accounted for by fire officers, two fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used fire hoses to bring the blaze under control and extinguish it. After using large fans to clear the house of smoke, firefighters carried out clean up work to minimise damage. There were no injuries reported and fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
