Factory fire at Padstow
Published: 16th June 2007
A large factory fire in Davies Road at Padstow, in the early hours of the morning, required eight fire engines, three hydraulic ladder fire engines, and rescue and Hazmat specialist fire crews to extinguish the blaze. Nearby residents were evacuated while fire crews battled for several hours to bring the fire under control. The fire was in stacked timber sheets requiring the use of an excavator to break up the stacks so that firefighters could extinguish the deep seated fire. Fire crews from many surrounding fire stations were at the factory fire until midday ensuring that the fire was completely extinguished.
