Factory fire at Padstow
Published: 14th June 2007
Firefighters attended a large factory fire in Bridge Street at Padstow late this evening. Fire crews from Revesby, Riverwood, Bankstown, Lakemba, Hurstville, Arncliffe, Mortdale, Liverpool and Hazmat specialists from Greenacre fought the fire for several hours to bring it under control and extinguish it. A hydraulic ladder fire engine assisted fire crews in putting the fire out. Firefighters utilised a thermal imaging camera to locate fire activity in areas of the factory that were difficult to access. After ventilating the factory, crews assisted with the clean up. The factory was badly damaged in the blaze.
