Firefighters helping with storm recovery

In the four days since midday on Friday 8 June, NSWFB crews have been called to almost 3000 storm-related incidents on the Central Coast and in the Hunter area. Assistance has included helping with managing local flooding, fallen trees, damaged houses, motor vehicle accidents and fallen powerlines. These calls are in addition to the many hundred being incidents undertaken by NSWFB strike teams in the worst affected areas. Crews have come from as far afield as the Blue Mountains, Kempsey and Coffs Harbour to assist local firefighters deal with the aftermath of severe storms and floods.
