This evening firefighters from Riverwood, Revesby and Lakemba responded to a house on fire in William Road at Riverwood. The first fire crews on scene found the house well alight. All the occupants of the house were accounted for except for the dog. While firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used fire hoses to extinguish the fire another crew brought out the dog and placed it on the front lawn. Firefighters gave oxygen to the dog which revived it. The house was severely damaged by the fire but there where no reports of any injuries.
