Factory fire at Punchbowl

Published: 3rd May 2007

In the early hours of this morning the NSW Fire Brigades (NSWFB) was called to a fire in a large factory unit complex on Moxon Road at Punchbowl. The first fire crews to arrive reported a lot of smoke in the area and quickly gained access through security fencing to fight the fire. At the height of the blaze the NSWFB had eight fire engines, a hydraulic ladder fire engine, Hazmat specialist and 40 firefighters at the incident. Fire crews prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring factory units and had the fire extinguished in one and a half hours.
