St Andrews firefighters were on scene within six minutes and reported a building 30m by 30m well alight and requested additional support. Further fire crews were responded from Campbelltown, Rosemeadow, Ingleburn and Narellan. First arriving crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the front section of the building and were quickly able to contain the fire to that part of the building. The office area was extensively damaged and the cause is currently under investigation. Earlier in the day four fire crews were called to a fire on the roof of a building in Burwood Rd at Burwood. Workmen working on the roof area accidentally set fire to insulation and ducting in the roof area. The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
