House fires in Concord and Bathurst

At 1.20am fire crews from Ashfield, Concord and Burwood were called to a house fire at Burton St Concord. The house suffered major fire damage, and 2 occupants were transported to hospital with smoke inhalation. It was extinguished by 2 hose lines, by firefighters in Breathing Apparatus. Later in the evening a house fire in Durham St Bathurst kept firefighters from Kelso and Bathurst busy for 3 hours.The fire was in the living room of the brick house, and extinguished by firefighters in Breathing Apparatus and 1 x hose line. An elderly male occupant was transported to hospital.
