Four houses damaged and a restaurant destroyed across NSW

Four houses across NSW and a restaurant were extensively damaged by fire on Tuesday 2 February 2010. At 1:08pm the bottom level of a house at Blacktown was severely damaged, at 5:07pm a two level house in Nowra was totally destroyed, at 10:12pm an abandoned house at Blackett was destroyed and finally at 11:56pm a house was extensively damaged in South Bathurst. Fortunately no injuries have been reported from any of these incidents which are currently under investigation. Also at 9:51pm a restaurant known as the "Out Back Diner" in Main Street, Hillston (100km north of Griffith) was totally destroyed by fire. The restaurant was already well alight when crews arrived and fire rescue officers worked for two hours to extinguish the fire.
