Restaurant fire Wollongong

This evening firefighters from Wollongong and Warrawong responded to a fire in a restaurant in Burelli St, Wollongong. On arrival firefighters confirmed a fire in a restaurant and additional resources were requested. Firefighters from Shellharbour, Balgownie, Corrimal and Dapto were responded to assist. A fire was located in the kitchen and quickly extinguished. Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the kitchen area. No patrons were in the restaurant at the time of the fire, and two employees self evacuated prior to the arrival of firefighters.
