Fatal house fire Nulkaba

Just before midday firefighters from Cessnock and Bellbird responded to a house fire in Tallowood Dr, Nulkaba. On arrival firefighters found a single storey house engulfed in flames. Information was gathered that a person could still be in the house. Firefighters with a sense of urgency commenced a rapid fire attack and search of the house. The search was hampered by the very fierce fire that was burning. Despite the very best efforts from the firefighters a deceased male was found in the house. The cause is still under investigation by police and fire brigade. Assistance was given from the Rural Fire Service.
