House fire Hornsby

Late this evening firefighters from Hornsby and Beecroft responded to a house fire in Rosemead Rd, Hornsby. On arrival firefighters observed flames coming from the roof and called for backup. Firefighters quickly determined that no one was inside the house, and set about extinguishing the fire. Firefighters from Gordon, Castle Hill, Eastwood, Lane Cove, Crows Nest and Forestville assisted. A collapsed roof made this fire difficult to extinguish. The quick actions of firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.
