House fire in Broken Hill

Early this morning firefighters from Broken Hill and Broken Hill South responded to a house alight in Lane La Broken Hill. Crews were on scene within eight minutes to find smoke coming from a single level house. They quickly commenced fighting the fire and carrying out a search of the premises. One male was found semi-conscious in the house and was removed to safety by the firefighters. The rescue was carried out under very heavy smoke conditions.
