Car accidents and a high rise fire

Firefighters and rescue fire crews attended a serious car accident at Lidcombe. Firefighters provided fire protection while one person was extricated by the rescue firefighters. A house fire at Plumpton was extinguished by fire crews from Mount Druitt and St Marys with one occupant transported to hospital. Firefighters from Marrickville were on scene to assist police and ambulance officers when a bus crashed into the side of a factory, bringing down power lines, at Marrickville. A fire in the air conditioning ducting of a multi-storey building at North Sydney was quickly extinguished by fire crew from Neutral Bay, Crows Nest, The Rocks, Manly and Lane Cove. Two people suffered smoke inhalation and received first aid from firefighters before being taken to hospital.
