House fire and hazmat incidents
Published: 7th March 2007
A house fire at Minto caused extensive damage before being extinguished by fire crews from St Andrews, Ingleburn and Campbelltown. The fire was well established when the first firefighters arrived and it took fire crews around an hour to extinguish the blaze. A ruptured gas main at Oatley required firefighters from Mortdale to disperse the gas and Hazmat fire crews to check gas levels when the main was repaired. Hazmat fire crews from Shellharbour cleaned up a spill of paint in a creek at Barrack Heights. Queanbeyan firefighters assisted ACT fire crews at a five car accident at Letchworth.
