Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this evening to a fire in a house on Lambert Street, Bathurst. Firefighters from Bathurst, Kelso and the Duty Commander responded to the fire with the first crews on scene in seven minutes. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus contained and extinguished the fire which had spread from the rear of the building into the roof. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for fire spread. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
