Factory fire in Dee Why

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this evening to a fire in vacant car dealership on May Road, Dee Why. Fire crews from Dee Why, Manly, Narrabeen, Forestville, Mosman and the Duty Commander responded to the fire with the first crews on scene in five minutes. The fire was quickly located, using a thermal imaging camera, in a rear storeroom. Firefighters took just over one hour to extinguish the fire, ventilate the building and carry out a thorough search ensuring that nobody was inside. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
