Factory fire in Strathfield South

In the early hours of this morning fire crews from Lakemba, Burwood, Campsie, Bankstown, Ashfield, Revesby and the Duty Commander responded to a factory fire in Madeline Street, Strathfield South. Firefighters were on scene in nine minutes to discover a fire under an awning at the rear of the factory. Quick actions by firefighters protected nearby buildings and prevented the fire from spreading. Fire damage was limited to the contents of external storage racking and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
