Shop fire in Lane Cove

This evening fire crews from Lane Cove, Crows Nest, Gladesville, Willoughby, Drummoyne and the Duty Commander responded to a fire in a shop in Rosenthal Avenue, Lane Cove. Firefighters were on scene in five minutes to find a fire in the shop with nearby premises and residential units above the shop under threat from the fire. Crews quickly contained the fire and carried out a search of the residential units which confirmed no one was in the units. Fire crews carried out clean up (salvage) work and used gas detectors to ensure a clear atmosphere. Quick actions of the fire crews kept damage to a minimum.
