Road tanker roll over near Berry

1600 hours - Truck lifted upright and removed. Small spill contained and cleaned up. Site handed over to the RTA. Princess Highway reopened to limited traffic. Incident closed.

1255 hours - Recovery crane in place. A quantity of the sulphuric acid is being removed prior to lifting the tanker to minimise the possibility of any leaks. Area has been dammed with sand to prevent any of the acid escaping. Highway remains closed.

0516 hours - Two fire engines, two hazmat fire engines on scene. Tanker carrying sulphuric acid has rolled two kilometres north of Berry. Princess Highway closed in both directions. Advised to avoid the area. Protracted incident.
