Shop fire in Dee Why

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this morning to a fire in a shop in Pittwater Road, Dee Why. Firefighters from Dee Why, Narrabeen, Mosman, Willoughby, Manly and the Duty Commander responded to a fire with the first crews on scene in nine minutes to find smoke pouring from the second level. Thirty people were evacuated from adjacent shops as firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the fire. The second floor shop suffered extensive damage in the blaze while the shop below suffered minor damage. Fire crews assisted with the clean up.
