Published: 24th March 2009
This morning Hazmat specialists from Alexandria and Greenacre were on scene at Taylors Point Road, Clareville to assist Maritime, water police and a private salvage company with the salvage of a boat that had burnt the night before. Hazmat fire crews deployed booms, using NSWFB inflatable vessels, around the 11 metre sunken cruiser which was approximately 400 metres off shore in 11 metres of water. The booms helped to contain and absorb any leaking fuels, oils and debris
