School fire in North Tamworth

Firefighters from Tamworth and West Tamworth responded to a fire in a school in Tribe Street, North Tamworth in the early hours of this morning. Fire crews were on scene in nine minutes to find a single level classroom engulfed in flames. The fire was contained to the one classroom and extinguished in around one and a half hours. The classroom was severely damaged and investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire.
