Car fire in Mount Druitt

In the early hours of this morning firefighters from St Marys, Dunheved, Mount Druitt, Hazmat specialists from St Marys and the Duty Commander responded to a car on fire in an underground carpark in Beames Avenue, Mount Druitt. The first fire crews arrived within eight minutes to find a car well alight in the carpark with smoke travelling through the building above. The car was extinguished in 10 minutes and 15 people were evacuated from the building while crews ventilated to remove the smoke from the upper levels.
